Hefner Division is the most recent addition to the Operations Bureau, added in October 1990. Hefner Briefing station, commanded by Major Chuck Foley, is the home of 158 sworn officers and 3 civilian employees. The Division covers 141 square miles of northwestern and far western areas of Oklahoma City on three 10 hour shifts. Lakes Hefner and Overholser, both major recreational areas, are patrolled by divisional personnel utilizing patrol cars, boats and 4 x 4 vehicles. The 9,700 square foot building provides facilities for citizen groups and neighborhood association meetings. |
